Diddy Kong

Since his debut in Donkey Kong Country, Diddy has proven himself to be a valuable and versatile hero in numerous battles against the Kremling army. Diddy finally makes his Smash Bros. debut in Brawl, allowing him to compete against many of Nintendo's finest - including his pal Donkey Kong.

Peach

Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, Peach is frequently the victim of Bowser's many kidnapping schemes. Despite her dainty exterior, she is not above fighting back when the circumstances call for it. Peach returns to Smash Bros. with many of her moves from Melee intact.

Pokemon Trainer

Making his debut in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Pokemon Trainer will rely on his Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard to represent him in battle. By combining the strengths of these three Pokemon, this newcomer brings a unique strategy to the Smash Bros. arena.

Samus

A seasoned fighter, Samus has come face to face with the deadly Metroids several times since her debut over 20 years ago. The bounty hunter returns to the Smash Bros. arena with her usual arsenal of powerful projectiles.

Ike

This Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance hero is making his Smash Bros. debut in Brawl. Ike's impressive swordsmanship will surely make him a formidable contender.

Donkey Kong

Once an enemy of Mario, Donkey Kong now spends his days lounging about in the jungle as opposed to kidnapping princesses. Despite his laid-back attitude, DK is virtually unmatched when it comes to brute strength. Donkey Kong returns to Smash Bros. with familiar moves such as his always-brutal Giant Punch.

Yoshi

Since his first appearance in Super Mario World, Yoshi has proven himself a loyal ally to Mario and his friends. Yoshi will once again rely on his high jump and egg-throwing abilities to compete in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Fox

An ace pilot from the planet Corneria and the leader of the Star Fox team, Fox McCloud has defended the Lylat System from a multitude of threats in his career. Fox will once again duke it out in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, using his speed and gadgets to gain the upper hand on opponents.

Bowser

King of the Koopa Troop, Bowser is Mario's sworn enemy. For over 20 years he has schemed to kidnap Princess Peach, but his attempts are inevitably thwarted by his arch rival. Nonetheless, with his brute strength and deadly fire breath, Bowser remains Mario's deadliest foe.

Wario

Mario's main rival, Wario is greedy, self-absorbed, and pig-headed. He is constantly motivated by his love of money, and will embark on great lengths in order to gain riches. Despite his stocky build, Wario packs a powerful punch, with strength that rivals even the strongest Smash Bro.

Pit

The hero of Kid Icarus, Pit is able to adapt his weapon according to his situation in battle. If he has to target an enemy far away, he can use his bow. If the opponent is more close-range, Pit can split his bow to become two swords. Either way, he is a formidable fighter who will be able to hold his own against the other Smash Bros.

Pikachu

The 1st Pokemon to appear in Smash Bros., Pikachu has come back to take part in the Brawl. It is able to dispense a large quantity of electricity from its red cheeks, and its quick speed allows it to frequently get the drop on its foes. Perhaps this yellow mouse will show some new attacks on the Wii.

Kirby

Dream Land's most famous inhabitant, Kirby has the unique ability to copy enemies' skills by sucking them up into his mouth. Additionally, he is able to fly by inflating his tiny pink body. Kirby's vast array of powers make him an unpredictable and dangerous foe, despite his adorable appearance. Kirby will make his 3rd Smash Bros. appearance, and will undoubtedly add new Copy skills to his repertoire.

Meta Knight

Meta Knight is a mysterious swordsman from Dream Land whose strength in combat makes him a considerable threat on the battlefield. While his motives are not always clear, he strives to maintain his honour, ensuring that he is conducting himself fairly in combat. Meta Knight's wings allow him to gain altitude at will, making him a threat both on the ground and in the air.

Link

Known as the Hero of Time, He has triumphed over Ganon numerous times while protecting Hyrule and Princess Zelda from impending disaster. While his inventory ranges from boomerangs to hookshots, his primary weapon is the Master Sword. Once again, Link will come face to face with his Smash Bros. competitors in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Snake

A soldier cloned from the DNA of the legendary hero Big Boss, Solid Snake has saved the world numerous times from the threat of total annihilation. A skilled warrior, he has shown himself capable of adapting to even the most hostile environments. Snake is the first 3rd party character to enter the Smash Bros. universe, but will surely have a lot to offer to series vets when he makes his Wii debut.

Mario

Mario is the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom, and arguably the most well-known character ever to grace any console. Noble and loyal, he has throttled the Koopa King Bowser on countless occasions, using everything from a Fire Flower to his world-famous jump. Mario will return once again to duke it out in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
